Jackie Chan is back in action in The Foreigner Trailer 1
Gone the days when he could martial art his way out of crooks and traps and make us laugh. At age 63, he has gone a little John Wick and a little Bryan Mills in the movie adaptation of the 1992 novel The Chinaman written by Stephen Leather. After Kung Fu Yoga, an Indo-China collaboration who didn’t impress critics much, Chan is back in the action thriller The Foreigner going against Ex-James Bond Pierce Brosnan (who plays a government official), seeking revenge and going completely Taken-esque after his daughter dies in a bomb explosion during a politically inspired London terrorist attack.
The movie looks a complete thrill ride, with lots of explosions and close range gun fights and Jackie Chan seems to have given his all in at 63 to perform all the stunts he can at such age.
Though it favors a run off the mill concept about an Ex Military commando going rogue after not being able to deal with grief and injustice, director Martin Campbell, who has previously directed Bond movies like Golden Eye and Casino Royale can sure find a way to perch us on the edge of our seats uncomfortably till its release on Oct 13, 2017
