Bareilly ki Barfi released today and the film is directed by Ashvini Iyer Tiwari (who directed Nil Batte Sannatta earlier) and is written by Shreyas Jain and Nitesh Tiwari (both of them wrote Dangal, what happened to them this time). The music of the film is handled by Sameer Uddin (who has previously given the music for Kapoor and Sons and Phillauri)

In short a very good team came together and created a very disappointing film.
The trailer of Bareilly ki Barfi shows us very clearly that the film is about Bitti i.e. Kriti Sanon and how Ayushmann Khurrana likes her, tries to woo her in his own way and how Rajkummar Rao gets caught up in the process.
Kriti Sanon has done full justice to her character of a small town girl, Ayushmann plays the lovable lover boy and Rajkummar Rao plays a sales manager. He was my personal favourite in the film and indeed deserves 11 out of 10 for his remarkable performance. The dialogues of this film are written well. However, this  is a film that did have an interesting trailer but when you watch it, you realise that one only interesting scenes were the ones that u saw in the trailer.
The film is simply boring with a lagging story line and screenplay and the film only gains some interesting momentum in the last 10 minutes.  Thankfully it does not have too many songs and the songs that are there are already liked by the masses.
This film can totally be avoided and does not deserve anything more than 1.5 out of 5 stars.
